A lorry’s shed a load of batteries after it overturned in Romford.

Two people inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries following the accident in Crow Lane, near the Cemetery this morning (Monday, 3 July).

Police say both batteries and fuel leaked on the road so it may take a while to clear up.

The road is closed while recovery of the vehicle takes place.

Delays remain on surrounding roads as a result of the closure.
