Park in Dagenham closed due to sexual assault investigation

Police are warning people to avoid a park in Dagenham today after a woman was sexually assaulted last night.

Officers were called to Pondfield Park just after 8pm.

A male was arrested nearby and has been taken into custody.

The female is being provided with specialist support following the incident.

Pondfield Park remains closed and is expected to be that way throughout today.
