It happened last Wednesday between 1.45pm-2.20pm at the Gulf petrol station in Chingford Mount Road.
The incident first began in Churchill Terrace involving a silver Ford Focus before continuing to the petrol station.
One man has been arrested in relation to the assault and police are appealing for more information.
