Robin Hood runs from Thursday, 28 November to Sunday, 5 January
The show is described as a “fun festive family panto twanging to the beats of pop hits from across the decades, filled with traditional audience participation and laugh out loud silliness.”
All the music is played live and uniquely features actors that double up as musicians in the show.
Popular hit, John Barr who starred as “Dame Dotty Trott” in last year’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, will return in a new role.
Others in the cast include Ruth Brotherton as “Little John”, Jessica Brydges as “Will Scarlet” and Lawrence Cole as “Sheriff”.
Phil Adele, who plays the lead character Robin Hood, said: “Pantomime is a British tradition and we are doing it a bit different here with actor/musicians and I think that provides a different element.
“Even if you love pantomines, we’re trying to offer something a bit different.”
“Pantomime for the most part is the first experience of theatre children have. I honestly believe if I hadn’t been taken to see pantomimes when I five- or six-years-old, then it wouldn’t have led to me being familiar with theatre as a form of entertainment and I wouldn’t have ended up pursuing it.
“It’s a great opportunity to show children the world of theatre and the magic that can happen there.
The show runs from Thursday, 28 November to Sunday, 5 January.
Tickets are available here, ranging from £12.50-32.
