Man arrested following two sexual assaults on Hackney buses

The man attended a north London police station yesterday.

A man has been arrested in connection with two sexual assaults on buses in Hackney.

Detectives appealed to the public after two incidents; one on Thursday, 14 February 2019, on a 254 bus and the other on Tuesday, 4 February 2020, on a 253 bus.

The 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and attempted sexual assault.

He attended a north London police station yesterday.

The man has been bailed pending further enquiries to a date in early June.
