Teenage cyclist taken to hospital after collision in Dagenham

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital following a collision in Dagenham this morning.

The boy was riding a bike when he collided with a car in Green Lane shortly before 9am.

Police say his injuries are not life-threatening.

Wood Lane is partially blocked heading northbound due to the incident.

“Police were called at around 08:55hrs today, Monday, 5 December to Green Lane, Dagenham to reports of a road traffic collision,” said a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police.

“A cyclist was in collision with a car at the location.

“The cyclist – a teenage boy – has been taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.”
