Fire crews from Hornchurch, Wennington, Dagenham, Harold Hill and Romford fire stations attended to the fire.
Around 40 firefighters were called to the blaze in Gerpins Lane, at 6.08pm last night (Sunday, 6 September).
Fire crews from Hornchurch, Wennington, Dagenham, Harold Hill and Romford fire stations attended to the fire, and helped bring it under control by 6.49pm.
A small container holding cabling was destroyed and a small part of the roof and a van were also damaged.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.27pm yesterday to reports of a fire on Gerpins Lane, Upminster.
“We dispatched an ambulance crew and our hazardous area response team (HART) to the scene.
“We assessed a man for burns and took him to hospital.”
