Man admits manslaughter over fatal stabbing following rave in Seven Kings

Dylon Barnes was stabbed to death last November

A man has pleaded guilty to a fatal stabbing at a rave in Seven Kings.

Dylon Barnes was killed after the event in Telegraph Mews last November.

The 26-year-old and his friends were leaving at around 6am on Sunday, 24 November when a disagreement started between them and members of another group.

Dylon was attempting to de-escalate the situation when Jean Marc Dable lunged at him with a knife.

Emergency services found Dylon a short while later in Ilford Lane. He was rushed to hospital but passed away that afternoon,

Dable, 25, was arrested and admitted to police that he regularly carried a knife, often concealing it between his buttocks.

He appeared at the Old Bailey today and pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Dable, of no fixed address, will be sentenced on Wednesday, 11 November.

Detective Inspector Adam Callaghan, said: “Dylon’s life was taken from him in a brutal fashion and Dable will now spend a significant period of time in prison where he can no longer pose a threat to anyone.

“Dable alone made the decision to carry a knife and this, as we see all too often, has resulted in the death of another young person in London.

“Dylon’s family are devastated and little to no comfort will be felt by them today as they continue to grieve for their loved one.

“I would like to thank the investigative team who worked so relentlessly to secure a conviction.”
