Hussain, a first-year student at London’s SOAS University died on Wednesday evening following the alleged attack in Lea Bridge Road, Walthamstow.
Alexis Morris, 18, of South Park Drive, Ilford was charged with murder and two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent this morning.
In addition, Morris was charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
Anthony Nguyen, 18, of Lyndon Road, Belvedere was also charged this morning with assisting an offender.
A post-mortem examination gave the victim’s cause of death as hypovolemic shock and a stab wound to the neck.
Two others, a man in his 20s and a woman in her 40s, who were both related to Hussain, were also found with slash injuries to their hands.
The pair were taken to an east London hospital for treatment and have now been discharged.
A third 18-year-old, Marvin Ward, of Westwood Road, Ilford, was charged on Sunday, 21 March with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, robbery and possession of an offensive weapon.
He appeared in court yesterday.
