Two cars collided in Blackmore Road yesterday afternoon at around 1.35pm.
Firefighters worked to release one woman who was trapped inside her vehicle.
She was released by 2.32pm and taken to Queen’s Hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson for East of England Ambulance Service said: “I can confirm that EEAST responded to an emergency call shortly before 1.45 pm regarding an incident in Doddinghurst, Brentwood.
“We sent an ambulance, a rapid response car and an air ambulance to the scene.
“One patient was transported to Queens Hospital for further care.”
