Sixth arrest made after fatal shooting in Walthamstow

Detectives investigating the fatal shooting of Sam Brown in Walthamstow have made a sixth arrest. 

Mr Brown, 28, died in hospital after being shot in Cheney Row Park, off Durban Road, shortly after midnight on Sunday, 24 July.

Today, officers arrested a 33-year-old man on suspicion of his murder. The suspect remains in custody at an east London police station.

Another man has been charged with murder while four people who were arrested have since been bailed or released under investigation.

The victim’s family continues to be supported by specially trained officers.
