Police have arrested a man for impersonating an officer.

A man has been arrested in Havering on suspicion of impersonating a police officer.

Police received concerns a man was acting in a way which could lead people to believe he was an officer – including on social media.

The 49-year-old suspect was taken into custody today (Monday, 15 May).

Police say enquiries into the circumstances are continuing.
