Man charged following stabbing at The Brewery Shopping Centre in Romford

A man’s been charged following a stabbing at The Brewery Shopping Centre in Romford.

Police were called to the car park just before 1pm on Tuesday, 20 February following reports of the attack.

A man in his 20s had taken himself to hospital with a stab wound. His condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

Shoppers were evacuated from the shopping mall while enquiries were carried out.

Police said the suspect and victim were known to each other.

Following police enquiries, Admad Samadi, 27, from Bow was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon.

He appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, 22 February). Details of his next court hearing have not yet been confirmed.

Any witnesses who have not spoken with officers are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 3260/20Feb.
