Appeal for witnesses after hit-and-run in Hook End

A man has been rushed to hospital after a hit-and-run in Hook End.

The cyclist and a Mini collided in Blackmore Road at around 8.45am yesterday morning. 

It’s believed the car and another vehicle, a white Vauxhall Insignia, overtook a van.

The Mini pulled in front of the van, where it then collided with the cyclist and failed to stop at the scene.

The cyclist, aged in his 50s, sustained a leg injury and was taken to hospital via air ambulance.

Police are appealing to speak to any witnesses of the incident.

Anyone with dash cam footage is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 225 of 25 April.
