An 18-year-old man has died after being stabbed in Marks Gate last night.
Police were called to Padnell Road at around 10.30pm to reports of an assault.
They found an 18-year-old man suffering from a stab injury nearby in Nash Road.
He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning.
His next of kin have been informed although formal identification is yet to take place.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
One man has been arrested in connection with this investigation.
At this early stage, police believe he may have been chased by a number of suspects before being attacked.
Officers are appealing for information and requesting witnesses to come forward.
