Police have charged a fourth person with the murder of Moosakhan Nasiri in Forest Gate.
Mooksakhan was found stabbed in Plashet Park in October and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
A post-mortem exam gave cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.
The 25-year-old man of no fixed abode will appear at Thames Magistrates Court later today.
Previously, an 18-year-old man from Plaistow and a 22-year-old man from Stratford have appeared at court charged with Moosakan’s murder.
This follows the earlier arrest and charging of a 16-year-old boy in connection with the killing.
All three appeared at the Old Bailey in January and remain in custody.
An 18-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder in October, has now been released under investigation.
Detective Inspector John Marriot, who is dealing with the investigation, said: “We are now a number of months on from when Moosakhan was brutally murdered, and while we have charged three people in relation to this murder, we would still be very keen to talk to anyone with information.
“This attack happened in the middle of a busy park and there will have been numerous witnesses to this violent stabbing. I would encourage anyone with information, and in particular any video footage, to submit this to us so that we can bring those responsible to justice.”
Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information should call the Homicide and Major Crime Command on 020 8345 3715, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
