London Lions roar to Scorchers victory

London Lions eased to victory as they beat Surrey Scorchers in the British Basketball League.

Lions’ forward Brandon Peel scored a double-double to lead his side to a 94-71 victory.

It ends the Scorchers four game win streak and Vince Macaulay’s men will be hoping to climb above Surrey by winning their games in hand.

The home side now travel to Manchester Giants on Sunday.

Lions captain Joe Ikhinmwin wasn’t involved after being called up by Team England for the Commonwealth Games.
