A teenage woman was sexually assaulted last week on a footbridge near Pondfield Park.
26-year-old Adef Hamid, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Friday.
He was charged with sexual assault, robbery and possession of a Class B drug.
Hamid has been remanded into custody to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court next month.
