The 35-year-old victim was kicked and stabbed in Belhus Park and had his jacket, phone and cash stolen from him.
He’d gone to the park to meet Michael Thompson – with the intention of collecting a mobile phone he was buying from him.
But when he arrived, the victim encountered Thompson’s friend Lewis Dodd.
Dodd, who’s 26 and from Leytonstone , stabbed him in the thigh and buttocks. He then left him with fractures to his jaw, nose, cheeks and eye sockets
28-year-old Thompson from Grays was found guilty and Dodd admitted to his role. They’ll both be sentenced next month.
