£50 challenge issued to local businesses to help raise money for St Francis Hospice

A charity is challenging local businesses to raise as much money as possible with just £50.

Saint Francis Hospice is giving entrepreneurs the cash and asking them to put their money-making skills to the test.

“The possibilities are endless really, it’s all about being as creative as possible,” said Corporate Partnership Manager, Tom Murtagh.

“We hope the challenge will be really fun for businesses to take part in. It will be a good opportunity to do some team building and a bit of a staff moral boost at the start of the new year.”

He says competitors can use whatever tactics they wish, adding: “Because you have the 10 weeks, you have plenty of time to think of something. If you want to size up the competition and do something in the last week to scoop up the prize that’s fine too.”

They’ve suggested some initial ideas, such as bake sales, quizzes and family fun days but are encouraging everyone to get as creative as possible.

At the end of the competition, there will be a special session of their Business Alliance networking session in April with awards for the winners.

All money raised will go towards the charity’s work.

Time 107.5 will also be taking part, so keep an eye out for our plans.

It’s open to all businesses, large and small, who can fill out this form to apply.

If you have any questions, you can contact Saint Francis Hospice at corporatefundraising@sfh.org.uk or on 01708 753 319.
