Emergency services rushed there this morning, at 12.40am, following reports that a car had collided with pedestrians.
The victim died in hospital at around 5.20pm today.
Detective Chief Inspector Mark Wrigley said: “ At this early stage, it is appears that this was a deliberate act by the driver of the car.
“There had been an altercation in the street prior to this incident and I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information who has not yet come forward, to contact police.”
A second man, aged 32, was also injured after being hit by the car. Police say his condition is not life-threatening.
At this stage, no arrests have been made.
