Two taken to hospital after A13 crash near Barking

Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment after a collision on the A13.

The crash happened near the Beckton roundabout shortly after 9am today.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent two ambulance crews and an incident response officer to the scene.

“We treated two people at the scene and took them both to hospital.”

It is not known at this time how serious their injuries are.

The collision is causing tailbacks to the Gorsebrook junction in Dagenham, as well as delays on the A406 and surrounding roads in the area.

There has also been a separate collision at the Gorsebrook interchange which has closed the westbound carriageway.

Traffic is diverting via the slip-roads.
