Rudolph, right, with hospice patient Joseph and his mum
Little Havens Hospice supports children with life limiting and life-threatening illnesses.
The hospice aims to make the journey as comfortable as possible for children and their families, by offering planned respite stays, managing symptoms, and caring for kids at the end of their lives.
Rudolph Walker, who plays Patrick Truman in EastEnders and also starred in Love Thy Neighbour, is one of its patrons.
“I was very impressed with the work they were doing and very moved,” he told Time 107.5. “Quote.”
Other EastEnders stars who will be there include Steve McFadden, Scott Maslen, and Cliff Parisi.
Cricketers such as Matthew Hoggard, Colin Cowdrey, and Clive Lloyd will also be there subject to availability.
Rudolph turns 80 next week, so the cricket day will be a chance to celebrate his birthday, with funds also being raised for the Rudolph Walker Foundation.
The match takes place at Gidea Park cricket ground on Sunday 22nd September.
Gates open at 11am and spectators are being asked for a donation on entry to watch the T20 cricket match.
There will be plenty to see and do for all the family with plenty of stalls, a silent auction and entertainment throughout the day.
Supporters are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets with them and can bring picnics with them or treat themselves as there will be plenty of food and drink on sale.
