Emergency services were called to the crash in A1306 New Road, at the Wennington Road junction, at around 8.30am this morning.
The London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade and London’s Air Ambulance attended.
Despite first aid, the female driver of the car died at the scene.
The Met Police say enquiries are continuing to inform next of kin.
Local road closures remain in place.
