His injuries are not life-threatening
Emergency services were called to Longbridge Road, near South Park Drive, shortly after 9.30pm yesterday evening after two men started rowing.
The pair were then seen by witnesses fighting outside the row of shops in Faircross Parade.
Paramedics took one of the men to hospital.
His condition is not life-threatening, police say.
The other man involved had left the scene before police arrived.
No arrests have been made.
Longbridge Road was closed while police investigated last night.
It meant several bus routes were on diversion and buses were unable to return to the depot near the junction.
The road did later reopen.
