Man to be extradited from Ireland over 39 lorry deaths

The bodies were discovered in October

A man is set to be extradited to the UK in connection with the deaths of 39 Vietnamese people, whose bodies were discovered in a lorry in Thurrock.

A judge in Dublin has ruled Eamonn Harrison, who is from Northern Ireland, should be sent to the UK.

The bodies were found in a refrigerated trailer on the Waterglade Industrial Park in October.

Harrison, 23, was remanded in custody and is due back in court on Tuesday, 4 February.

His lawyers will decide next week whether to appeal.
