Police were called to Broadway at around 8.20pm yesterday evening, following reports that two males armed with knives were riding dangerously in the area and attacking members of the public.
By the time officers arrived, the attackers had fled the area.
One person was taken to hospital for treatment on injuries to their head and leg. They were later discharged.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with footage of the incident to come forward.
Detective Chief Inspector Geoff Tachauer, said: “I am appealing to the local Community. I am keen to hear from anyone who can provide information or footage relating to this incident.
“If you can help please don’t hesitate to contact police immediately.”
Local Neighbourhood Policing Teams and Violent Suppression Unit Taskforce will be actively patrolling the area, a police spokesperson said.
