Train narrowly misses person on tracks at Grays station

The person climbed onto the platform with seconds to spare

Footage has been released of a train narrowly missing a pedestrian at a level crossing in Grays.

The person walked along the tracks as the barriers went down and tried to climb up onto the platform, rather than using the traditional method of going through the station’s entrance.

It’s not clear when the incident happened.

Network Rail shared the footage online and warned other people not to access the platform that way, saying: “It isn’t worth the risk.”
