Officers were called to Louise Gardens shortly before 8pm on Wednesday, 1 December, following reports of a disturbance involving a group of people.
The 37-year-old man was found with fatal injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, despite the best efforts of paramedics.
Formal identification is yet to take place although next of kin have been informed.
A woman was also found with an injury to her wrist. She was taken to hospital. Her condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.
Four women, aged between 21 and 48, and a 17-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of murder.
The group were later released on bail to a date in late December.
Met Police say “homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are working to understand the full circumstances.”
