Anyone who knew Lorena Ciupeanu is being urged to contact police
Lorena Ciupeanu, a Romanian national of Herman Hill, was admitted to hospital shortly before 2.30am on Saturday, 5 November. She died later that day.
A special post-mortem examination found she may have died due to a a drug overdose.
“At this time, the death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation by detectives from the East Area BCU,” said a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police.
“The police investigation includes ongoing forensic examination of the woman’s address in Herman Hill. Detectives have also made house to house enquiries in the area.”
Officers arrested a man who was known to the deceased in connection with the investigation. He was bailed pending further enquiries.
Detectives want to speak to anyone who knew Lorena Ciupeanu who has not already talked to them. They also want to hear from anyone else who has information that may assist their investigation.
