The crash happened in Dagenham Road this afternoon
It happened in Dagenham Road at around 12.40pm today.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “The mother, accompanied by her uninjured child, has been taken to hospital.
“Her condition is not believed to be life-threatening.”
The vehicle involved did not stop at the scene and no arrests have been made.
Dagenham Road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
