Train lines have been heavily disrupted this morning following a fatality on the line between Shenfield and London Liverpool Street stations.
The British Transport Police were called just after 7am this morning to reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Greater Anglia and TFL Rail services have been disrupted, all lines had been closed between Ilford and Chadwell Heath.
A spokesperson for BTP said: “British Transport Police were called to the line near Chadwell Heath at 7.18am this morning (Wednesday 27 October) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are currently working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
All lines and services have reopened but delays and some cancellations are expected.
