Two girls rescued from frozen Dagenham lake

Two teenage girls were helped from a frozen lake in Dagenham yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Parsloes Park at around 5.30pm following concerns for the safety of a teenage girl reported to be in the water.

Two girls, aged 13 and 14, along with two men were helped from the partially frozen lake.

Officers believe the two men entered the water to assist the teens.

They were all taken to hospital for a check-up as a precaution.
