A fundraising evening is being held to help a man from Dagenham who lost his leg in a collision in Thailand.
Harry Cross is still recovering in a hospital in the Asian country after the accident with a lorry in March.
The event has been organised by one of Harry’s friends, Charlotte Maud.
She says Harry’s doing ok: “He’s hoping to come back to England in June and it would be amazing if he could make the event himself.”
It’s being held at East Ham Working Men’s Club on Friday, 8 June and will feature Abbaret – an Abba cabaret act.
“Harry’s a big West Ham fan too so the venue, right next to the old West Ham ground, should make it a really good night.”
Tickets cost £15 and are available on the door.
All the money raised will go to Harry.
Meanwhile a separate fundraiser is being held this weekend in Romford.
A fun day is being held at Romford and Gidea Park Rugby Club in Crow Lane this Sunday (27, May) between 12-5pm.
Entry for this weekend’s fundraiser is £1 per person.
