Police have been working with LGBT+ groups following the murder of Ranjith Kananamalge (Pic-Met police)
Ranjith Kankanamalge, known as Roy, was found unresponsive in Tower Hamlets Cemetary Park shortly before 7am on Monday, 16 August.
The 50-year-old had a head injury and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination later confirmed the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
Police have previously described the attack as a homophobic hate crime.
A man was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, 27 October and has been taken into police custody.
Another man was previously arrested in connection with the killing but was later released on bail until a date in mid-November.
