Olly Murs will be managing a side in a charity football match which is raising funds for Saint Francis Hospice’s end-of-life care.

The match, which is taking place on Sunday 28, November, is being organised by the owner of VIP HQ Essex, Danny-Lee Finch.

He has been assembling his squad, a male and female one, for the matches at Aveley Football Club Ground.

They include a number of reality TV stars Danny Bibby and Aaron Francis from Love Island, Mark Wright, Dan Edgar and Harry Lee from TOWIE, Tom Skinner, boxer Johnny Fisher and former England international Paul Konchesky.

They’re taking on a side organised by sock company Gripz official.

Doors open at 2pm where VIP HQ ladies take on the the Gripz ladies in the first match of the day.

West Ham legend Sir Trevor Brooking will then be getting the men’s match underway at 4:30.

That is not the only West Ham link with the event, academy coach Mark Phillips has been leading training sessions for the players at the clubs academy ground.

“We’ve done lots of fundraising for the Hospice over the years but this will be our biggest event to date and we are hoping it will become an annual match to support the charity,” said Danny-Lee.

“The Hospice is such a fantastic charity which has helped so many families and people we know in our local community.

“My mum worked there for 22 years and I got to experience the amazing care and support it gives when it cared for my grandad before he died.

“Spectators will get to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names on TV and if you’ve had a loved one cared for by the Hospice, this is the perfect opportunity to show your support.”

There will also be performances from Apogee Stage School during the two half time intervals and Elf on the Shelf acrobats from More Than Mascots.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children, all money raised will be donated to help local people who need the Hospice’s care, now and in the future.

You can book your ticket today by clicking on the Eventbrite link https://www.viphqessex.co.uk/charity-celebrity-football-match or you can show your support and make a donation on the GoFund page set up for the event – https://gofund.me/75af2730.
