Two charged following raids in Harold Hill

Two men have been charged after raids aimed at men with firearms in Harold Hill. 

Brian John West, 38, of Benskins lane, Romford, was charged with assaulting a police officer. 

West and Toqueer Gilani, 33, were also charged with possession with intent to supply of a class B drug, in this case cannabis. 

Both men were charged yesterday (Wednesday, 6 February) and have been bailed to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court.

Gilani will appear on Wednesday, 20 February and West will appear on Thursday, 7 March.

A total of 16 arrests were made yesterday during a series of raids targeted at organised crime.
