West Ham sign Haller in club-record deal

Haller has agreed a five-year deal at London Stadium

West Ham United has signed French striker Sebastien Haller for a club-record fee.

The 25-year-old has joined from German side Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 33 goals in 77 games across the last two years.

Prior to that, he scored 51 in 98 matches for Dutch side Utrecht.

“For me I can guarantee that I will give 100% for the club because the club has given me this confidence and I will try to give it back every day in every game,” Haller said.

“I know it’s a big transfer and there is a lot of expectation around me, and I just want to make people proud of this transfer and I will give everything I have.”

Haller has agreed a five-year deal at the London Stadium, with the option of extending it by a year.

He will join up with his new teammates when they return from China, where they are currently competing in the Premier League Asia Trophy.
