Man arrested after car crashes following police pursuit in Harold Hill

A man has been arrested after a car collided with a number of parked vehicles during a police pursuit in Harold Hill.

The collision happened in Straight Road, at around 2.48pm on Sunday afternoon.

The male driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and taking and driving away.

He did not suffer any serious injuries and remains in custody.

Straight Road was closed off after the incident between Hilldene Avenue & Hailsham Road.

No one else was injured, according to a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police.
