Man dies after quad bike crashes into lamp post in South Ockendon

A man has died after his quad bike collided with a lamp post in South Ockendon.

The collision happened just after 9pm on Sunday, 21 March in Cherwell Grove.

The driver suffered multiple injuries and sadly died at the scene.

An investigation is now underway and officers would like to hear from any witnesses who saw the quad bike in the moments leading up to the crash or who saw the collision itself.

It is thought the quad bike may have been attempting to overtake another vehicle in the moments before the collision.
