Emergency services were called to the southbound carriageway between junctions 6 and 7 on Sunday, 1 October at 3.05pm.

Three cars had been involved in a collision and one was on its side with two people trapped inside.

Crews from Harlow, Brentwood and Old Harlow attended and freed the casualties within half an hour.

They were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
