The incident took place around noon in Nelmes Road. However, his death is still being treated as unexplained.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service on Saturday, 8 December at around 12.00pm to Nelmes Road, Hornchurch to a report of a man who had fallen from a tree.
“Officers attended along with the LAS and London’s Air Ambulance.
“The man was pronounced dead the scene.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and at this stage is not suspicious.”
His family have not yet been informed.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We sent an incident response officer, a single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to the scene. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Sadly, despite the efforts of our medics, a person died at the scene.”
