Fire crews in Corringham rescue dog from outdoor swimming pool

Firefighters have rescued a dog which had fallen into a swimming pool in Corringham.

Crews were called to Church Road where they managed to pull a large Alsatian to safety.

The dog, called Axel, had suffered a fit and was unable to use his back legs so was unable to get out himself.

He was left in the care of vets who checked him over and returned him to his owners.
