Second man charged following Ilford murder

A 20 year-old has been charged with the murder of a man from Ilford.

30 year-old Jason Diallo died from a gunshot injury to the head on Balfour Road on 1 November last year.

On the same night, police were called to reports of a second shooting on Garvary Road, E16.

A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries later assessed as not life-threatening.

Tyrell Joseph of Banks Way has been charged with murder and attempted murder.

Musin Mohmaed of Leytonstone Road was charged with the same offences on 19 November and is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 12 March.

Joseph is due to appear at Barkingside’s Magistrate’s Court today.
