Emergency services were called at around 1.10pm today to reports of a casualty on the track.
In a statement, British Transport Police said: “Officers are in attendance but sadly a person has been pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
There is currently no service on the Central Line between Leyton and Hainault.
Bus routes are also unable to stop outside the train station.
