Man dies in early morning A127 crash near Brentwood

A man has died after a collision on the A127 near Brentwood.

A Vauxhall Astra and a lorry collided at around 2am this morning near the A128 junction, by the Halfway House.

The man, who was aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit by emailing collisionappeal@essex.pnn.police.uk.

The A127 was closed while emergency services responded to the incident but it has since reopened.

Essex Police says no arrests have been made in relation to the collision.
