Teenager dies after collision in East Tilbury

A teenager has died following a serious collision in East Tilbury.

A black Peugeot 107 left Princess Margaret Road at around 1.35am today. 

Emergency services were called to the scene but despite their best efforts the 19-year-old driver died. 

Essex Police closed the road while the investigated what happened but it has now been re-opened. 

Detectives are urging witness, particularly those with CCTV or dashcam footage, to come forward. Those that do should quote incident 80 of Wednesday, 3 August.
