Police launched an investigation after Mohammed Aqil Mahdi died of stab wounds he suffered in Navigation Road on Saturday, 6 November.
Time 107.5 FM reported yesterday that three people had been arrested on suspicion of murder, those individuals have now been charged.
Majed Ahmed, 18, of Navigation Road was arrested on Monday morning after he attended a north London police station.
Both 21-year-old Muzahid Ali, of Bishops Way, and 28-year-old Abul Cashem, of Victoria Dock Road, were arrested yesterday in Tower Hamlets.
The trio are due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with Mohammed Aqil Mahdi’s murder.
Mohammed’s family and local community have set up a fundraising page to raise money for various projects in his honour.
